Seves Lighting, Seves Special Glass Division

The Special Glass Division was set up when SEVES S.p.A., the world’s leading manufacturer of glass blocks and insulators, acquired Vetrerie Lodi, the crucible of the oldest glass-manufacturing traditions.

This division uses a continuous industrial moulding process to melt and transform the glass and produce the desired shape and colours, capturing the light and creating volume and substance.

The SEVES Special Glass Division, which is based in Turin, Italy, is specialised in the production of moulded glass for the lighting industry. It works with its partners to design and produce technical glass lighting components (light diffusers, refractors, lenses, etc.) using the most advanced glass pressing technology.

Various finishing processes are then used to achieve the required functionality and appearance. In a single word, Design. Design is a leit-motiv, an expression of trends. It also means integrating the qualities of the finest of synthetic minerals (purity, transparency, neutrality, strength, beauty and hygiene) with the forms, colours and aesthetic values of the environment, respecting nature (glass is 100% recyclable), guaranteeing repeatability (versatility), always different.
